MAPAS: Map Your Language-Learning Motivation

🗺️ Tired of taking lesson after lesson and feeling stuck in a cycle of losing steam? Blanking out on how to achieve your language learning goals? Burned out from programs that empty-promise to make you fluent in 6 months? This workshop might be for you.

WHAT IS THIS?

🗺️ Mapas is a 2 hour interactive workshop in which we will work, both individually and collaboratively, to exchange resources and ideas, and to create a renewable, seasonal map for our own learning motivation, and self accountability that feels healthy. No magic tricks, no high stakes commitments that turn into guilt. Your methods, your structure, your habits, your way.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

🗺️ This is for all Spanish language learners who struggle creating structure and finding medium to long term motivation in their learning journey. All levels of fluency and experience.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

🗺️ Bring yourself and a stack of paper, your favorite pens and markers, your journal or notepad, your coffee or tea, and your curiosity. Maybe also scissors and glue stick.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR:

Ángel of VOCES Club is a queer artist, bilingual writer, and community educator who has been creating and customizing curriculum for Spanish language learners for over 5 years and has taught through community spaces in Brooklyn, NY. Their teaching values encompass gender inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and are rooted in economic and language justice.

ACCESSIBILITY:

🗺️ MAPAS is designed with participation and group discussions in mind, so it will not be recorded. Video on is preferred but not required at all times. Captioning will be available and there will be 1 break. Group is capped to 25 participants. Spanish fluency is not required. Payment is set to a sliding scale. No refunds after workshop has started, except in the case of emergencies. Access to a steady internet connection and ZOOM are needed. This workshop is for adults only. Got an accessibility question?
