Event description
Learn to interact and communicate more effectively with Māori in this full day seminar training presented by Anton Matthews, owner of Fush

About this Event

If you want to learn about how you can improve the way you interact with whānau Māori, Māori communities and Māori business whether you’re in the classroom, in the workplace, in the community or in the boardroom then this is the training you have been waiting for.

Come along and learn about basic tikanga Māori and why it matters. You will gain a better understanding of tikanga Māori as well as when and how you can implement tikanga in your work and personal life, to achieve better outcomes when working with Māori.

Co owner of Fush, Anton Matthews is well known nationally for his passion to normalise te reo Māori and tikanga in the workplace and he wants to share his secrets with you. He breaks down big words like tapu and noa, mana and manaakitanga (and many more) and makes them easier to understand and digest in a safe, practical and meaningful way giving you more confidence to go out there and tackle the big issues.

Learn some of the often untold history of Aotearoa and gain practical knowledge around the Treaty of Waitangi and how to make the application of the "principles of the Treaty", business as usual in your workplace.

You will finish the day feeling much more confident to work with whānau and you will learn valuable knowledge that will help you to understand the cultural needs of Māori in order to communicate more appropriately.

This training is great for anyone working with Māori in education, health, justice or any government organisation who wants to learn how to engage in a more meaningful way with Māori. This training is also incredibly valuable for anyone who wants to learn how to do business better with Māori enterprise and iwi.

Lunch is also provided by Fush so grab yourself a ticket. Limited tickets available.
