Description

MANIFESTATION BOOT CAMP

Manifesting Bootcamp will have an opportunity to align the way you move in the world with your personal values and the things that truly inspire you. You will learn to hear your authentic voice above the expectations and opinions of others and to look with kindness at any limiting beliefs you may want to 'return to sender.' We will explore how to manifest in ways that ensure a balance between what you give to your endeavors and what they return to you. Combined with setting goals that are fluid, this will ensure that what you make in the world is an ongoing source of creativity and satisfaction. Manifesting Boot Camp is an inquiry into what is necessary for you to be fulfilled in actualizing your life goals and an opportunity to utilize a likeminded community to both give and receive support as you create the life you really want.

Please join us if you:

  • Are slightly or majorly suspect of the 'Woo Woo, quick fix rhetoric of the current new age positive thinking movement
  • Want more synchronicity between what you do and who you are
  • Are emotional, physically and spiritually able to explore personal accountability without defaulting to praise or blame
  • Can laugh at yourself
  • Use language that honors spirit without diminishing the form it takes in another's life
  • Can cuss and be kind
  • Have been excluded or had limited access to training of this sort because of difference.

We will use a combination of Mindfulness, Radical self-acceptance, writing and values clarification practices to support our work together.

INSTRUCTOR

Roxan McDonald

Roxan taught meditation, creative writing, poetry and memoir writing in alternative schools and produced eleven anthologies of student writing. Roxan won the Mary Lonnberg Smith Award in poetry and her short stories, memoir excerpts and poetry have been published in The Porter Gulch Review. She won the Eshleman Scholarship for the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley. Roxan received an honorable mention in nonfiction for the San Miguel de Allende Writers' Conference Writing Contest for an excerpt from her memoir. Coming from a family in which women do not graduate high school Roxan views her education as one of her highest achievements. Roxan holds a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Education, with a focus on Community Change and Social Activism from California Institute of Integral Studies. She is currently working on a Masters of Fine Art in Creative Writing at Pacific University.

She’s traveled to twenty countries on four continents, speaks Spanish moderately well. Can curse in Greek and knows how to balance four plates of moussaka on one arm while she does it. In 2003 Roxan placed 3rd in the National Jitterbug Championships Lindy Hop (which is the happiest dance ever). In that competition, she was ranked highest on the expression of joy. She is honored and beyond excited to be co-teaching with Clare Wesley, the woman who taught her almost thirty years ago, the art of manifestation, finding the message in the mess and how to practice radical self-acceptance while working hard to become the person you want to be.

Clare Wesley

Guess yes mom, please, just guess yes. - Jorah, age 5

Clare’s insights into the alchemy of manifesting started at the beginning of her 35-year career in Human Services. She was fortunate to have gotten a job as a youth outreach worker, which meant hanging on the street with a pocket full of Burger King vouchers and trying to look cool. The agency that hired her encouraged professional development and welcomed any relevant idea she could manage to get funded. She left the agency, which served 2500 youth and families per year, 30 years later, as Director, but not before designing and administering many programs that encouraged like-minded people to build authentic relationships that supported them in manifesting their hopes and dreams. Clare has facilitated groups for teens, young adults, parents, women, and a wide variety of community organizations. She has trained MFT and LCSW interns and staff in group dynamics. Clare continues to be astounded by the brilliance that emerges when people genuinely share themselves. She is convinced that the creativity of 12 minds working together to bring about change is exponential and that the warmth and love that are part of the process are irreplaceable.

Clare is currently coaching individuals interested in manifesting their visions and bringing meaning and change to their personal and professional lives. She works with a number of local organizations providing training's designed to support successful collaborations and conflict resolution. She takes particular pleasure in working with millennials and crones.

Clare is thrilled to be sharing this workshop with Roxan, whom she met when Roxan was 15 and Clare was sporting a lavender tail on her short-cropped hair. Roxan knew immediately how to use the power of the group to move forward and has flown straight up ever since.
