3. Apply components of trauma-focused treatment to case studies of children and families with suspected child maltreatment.

Description of Program: When it comes to suspected abuse of a child client, reporting this can be a fearsome event for all involved. This seminar will support you to keep from acting out of fear in order to provide the best clinical care possible. This seminar will offer a brief overview of the research pertaining to outcomes in instances of child maltreatment. Using case examples, this seminar will also illustrate methods of providing safe and nurturing support to the child and family in the event of mandated reporting.
