Join us at Alternity Cafe for a unique and transformative session on Manasarati, the Buddhist practice of "mindfulness of death." Together, we’ll explore the certainty of impermanence as a powerful path to cultivating awareness, reducing anxiety, and deepening our appreciation for the preciousness of life.
Our session will feature:
- Guided Meditations: Two sessions—a visualization exploring mortality and a guided life reflection.
- Journaling & Self-Reflection after each practice.
- Optional Group Discussion for insight and connection in a supportive space.
- We'll provide a cushion, pen, and journaling prompts.
Facilitators:
- Monica Lau, Registered Psychotherapist, Certified End-of-Life Doula
- Kinu Yamaguchi, End-of-Life Doula certificate candidate
What to bring (optional but encouraged): Your own notepad/journal, yoga mat or blanket, water bottle, and comfortable clothes.
Arrival Note: Please arrive promptly. Doors open 10 minutes before event start time. Due to the nature of the practice, latecomers cannot be admitted once the meditation begins.
Parking: There is free parking on side streets before 1pm on Sundays.
Refund Policy: 100% refund for cancellations received 24 hours prior to the event
