Event description

Description

Please join the NJ Division of the Allegheny Society of American Foresters for our annual training. Topics will include:

  • The impacts of spotted lanternfly on urban and rural forests
  • Observations and lessons learned after one year of the NJ Forest Stewardship Program
  • Managing rural forests under mutliple objectives and changing climates

It is our goal to present practical and useable information to benefit those in both the private and public sectors, with particular emphasis on stewardship of private forestlands, publicly-owned forests and parks, municipal shade tree resources, and understanding the science behind our dynamic, disturbance-dependent forest ecosystems, with additional attention to biodiversity. A full agenda can be read by clicking here.

Continental breakfast, lunch, and a certificate of training are included in the price of registration. There will be time for networking before the formal program commences, during lunch and breaks, and afterwards.

For NJ Division Allegheny SAF members (only), the training will be followed by our annual business meeting.
