Managing STRESS

Stress and anxiety can wreak havoc on your mind and body. Chronic stress can lead to cardiovascular disease, immunodeficiency, cancer, mental illness and skin disorders. The reduction of stress and associated generation of harmful oxidants is vital for good health and wellbeing.
In this session you will learn more about stress from a highly respected and qualified neuroscientist and why smells from natural plant chemicals, fruit and vegetable extracts, and even cut grass can help to reduce the impact of everyday stress.

Dr Nickolas Lavidis BSc, PhD
Nick Lavidis is a neuroscientist, researcher and senior lecturer at Queensland University’s School of Biomedical Sciences. For over 20 years, Nick has researched the effects of stress on the nervous system and ways to reduce its negative impacts. Nick has published over 80 original scientific papers and his work has been reported in more than 150 countries.
