James is responsible for handling financial insurance products for a large clientele group with a heavy concentration in the retail and transportation sector. James specializes in Directors and Officers insurance, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practice Liability and other related products.
Prior to joining Aon, James was a senior member of Nasdaq’s insurance group, Carpenter Moore, where for 10 years he assisted Nasdaq 100 companies with their Directors and Officers insurance. James was also CEO of Nasdaq’s Carpenter Moore’s UK subsidiary. Prior to Nasdaq James worked for Zurich Insurance where he handled D&O insurance claims as well as underwriting D&O insurance for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Zurich James worked at the law firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman and Dicker where he handled professional malpractice claims. Prior to “WEMED” James was a New York City prosecutor where he handled murder and other felonies.
Daryl Pigat, Metro Market Manager, Robert Half International
Daryl Pigat is a Branch Manager for staffing firm Robert Half International and is based in New York's Wall Street office. Since joining the company in 2004, Daryl has held a variety of management roles and is a recipient of RHI's President Club award for leadership. In his current role, Daryl manages teams that help place temporary candidates in accounting, finance and administrative positions.
In his time with RHI, Daryl has become a media spokesperson for the company and serves as an expert on hiring trends, recruitment, and other workplace issues. He is often featured in local and national business publications. A graduate of James Madison University, Daryl earned a BA in Communications.
Kevin Quinn, Partner, Chernoff Diamond
Kevin M. Quinn is a Partner in the Group Health & Welfare Services and the Mergers & Acquisitions Due Diligence practices. Leading a talented team of Employee Benefits consultants, he assists clients in creating sophisticated financial and strategic benefits designs while providing client specific solutions to benefits challenges facing the middle market employer.
With over twenty five years’ experience, Kevin is active on a number of national insurance carrier advisory boards, and a frequent media resource to regional and national news organizations on various healthcare related topics. He is also a sought after public speaker on the Affordable Care Act and the current healthcare reform crisis. Beginning his career at CIGNA HealthCare in 1985, Kevin has been the lead Partner for the Health and Welfare division at Chernoff Diamond since 1995.
Kevin is a member of the ACG, the Association for Corporate Growth, where he serves on the Long Island Board of Directors, and is a co‐founder of the Challenger Business Advisory Group, a group of growth‐oriented professional service firms that provide a wide‐range of sophisticated consulting services to senior management. A graduate of The Catholic University of America, he is involved with many not‐for‐profit organizations including The Center for Developmental Disabilities and Island Harvest
Mark Weiss, Vice Chairman, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank
Mark S. Weiss joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank as a principal in 2002, in a move that was heralded throughout the New York City real estate industry because of the extensive tenant representation experience and real estate development acumen that he brought to the firm. Presently, he serves as Vice Chairman, with a focus on providing tenant representation, strategic planning and development consulting services. Prior to joining Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Mr. Weiss worked at Studley, Inc. and Olympia & York (predecessor to Brookfield Properties).
During his 27-year career in commercial real estate, Mr. Weiss has completed more than 1,000 transactions, comprising a broad range of sizes, scope and clients. Many of Mr. Weiss' transactions have been recognized by the real estate industry and the media for their significance and complexity, as evidenced by his receipt of the Real Estate Board of New York's "Most Ingenious Deal of the Year" award in 2005 and 2010.
Mr. Weiss is a graduate of Syracuse University lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
