For: School and Camp Nurses, as well as any nurse who is working with children who have diabetes.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Understand pathophysiology of type 1 diabetes
  • Learn about the various types of insulin available
  • Discuss various types of insulin administration including insulin pumps
  • Learn to detect, treat, and prevent Ketones
  • Discuss glucose pattern management
  • Understand the effects of exercise and prevention of hypoglycemia
  • Discuss Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems

Four Dates to Choose From:

  • Friday April 7, 2017 at Camp Nejeda (Stillwater, NJ)
  • Saturday April 8, 2017 at Camp Nejeda (Stillwater, NJ)
  • Saturday May 6, 2017 at the Ripa Center (Voorhees, NJ)
