Managing Change in the 4.0 Era is a 2-day professional development course designed for leaders and high potentials wanting to broaden their comfort zone and increase their understanding in a rapidly changing competitive environment.

In a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world, change and discomfort are not only accelerating, they are becoming the new normal. The arrival of digital services opens up a realm of new business models, disintermediation and platforms previously impossible and economically unthinkable at such a large scale. With this transformation, executives are confronted with companies seeking novel business models to monetize their assets and know-how and new worker - employer relationships.The purpose of this course is to help you understand, predict, and empower these changes personally, for your employees and for your company.

The course will enable you to:

  • Name the societal and technological changes and study their effects
  • Differentiate between generations X, Y & Z and their respective needs
  • Explore the strengths and challenges of employing different generations and the drivers behind each generation
  • Understand the slashing trend, its causes and effects
  • Explore the different prerequisites of a business model
  • Apply the Business Model Canvas
  • Investigate different classes of business models and apply them in your field
  • Observe the acceleration of change in and around your company
  • Predict the effect of product and market mismatch in the short, medium and long term
  • Enumerate change implementation measures alongside their advantages and disadvantages
  • Diagnose the maturity levels of change implementation

Through co-created lectures, sharing of experiences and implementing best practices, you will explore this exciting world of threats and opportunities.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

André Delafontaine

After founding his first startup at age 19 and selling it 3 years later, André worked 17 years in multinational corporate environments in Switzerland, the US and Asia in people, project and product management. In 2010, André co-founded Go Beyond Investing AG, a network of 500 early stage investors having funded over 170 rounds in 70 startups. André now coaches corporations on innovation, intrapreneurship and early stage project investing through excelerate partners, a holacratic organisation of like-valued advisors.

LOGISTICS

The 2-day program begins at 9:00am and finishes at 5:00pm on both days. Food will be provided and is included in the ticket price. The language of instruction is English. The program will take place at Business School Lausanne in Switzerland.

PROGRAM COST

Program cost for 2018 is CHF 2'018.

PAYMENT

Registration is not complete until you are paid in full by purchasing a ticket for this program.

DISCOUNTS

We currently offer the following discounts:

  • Groups of two to five individuals attending the same program from the same organization: The first participant pays full price and a 15% discount is extended for up to four additional participants. Please note that we do not allow more than five participants from one organization in any single open-enrollment program to encourage diversity of industry and experience in the classroom.
  • Individuals attending more than one program in a calendar year: You pay full price for the first program registration and receive a 10% discount for each additional program throughout the year.
  • Social entrepreneurs: Professionals working in the social entrepreneurship sector can benefit from a 20% discount. You need to submit evidence of your activity and a paragraph describing your experience.

REFUND POLICY

If you are unable to attend a program that you've registered and paid for, you are eligible for a full refund until 30 days prior to the event. Cancellation notices must be emailed to daniele.ticli@bsl-lausanne.ch. If a cancellation is received after the deadline above, no refunds will be issued, however the ticket can be transferred to another person on request. No-shows are non-refundable.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

The course is designed for professionals who are comfortable reading, speaking and listening to English, and who can actively participate in presentations and classroom discussions conducted in English. While we do not require proof of English language proficiency, we expect that you are fluent in English in order to fully understand and participate in all aspects of the program.
