As part of our partnership with the University of Michigan we invite you to join Sanjay Joshi, EMC Isilon’s Life Sciences CTO, for an educational lunch and learn on how Isilon partners with Life Sciences agencies to resolve their productivity constraints and the challenge of storing and accessing this data efficiently & effectively.

During this presentation, you will learn:

  • How other research groups are University of Michigan are leveraging Isilon for Life Sciences
  • How Isilon supports multiple research workflows and business requirements such as next generation sequencing, proteomics, imaging, and Project/Home Directories in one volume
  • How Isilon accelerates research result times with concurrent access to critical data
  • How Isilon integrates with HADOOP data analytics technologies
  • How Isilon provides self-managing and provisioning capacity while monitoring system health and improving availability

About the Presenter:

Sanjay Joshi has enjoyed a 22 year career that has spanned the entire gamut of life sciences from clinical and biotechnology research to healthcare informatics to medical devices. 

His current focus is Big Data in Genomics and Proteomics. Sanjay was the recipient of a NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant for “proteomics processing using networked instrument routers”. He has also been a consultant on several NIH grants.

His recent experience has included Cloud architectures for Healthcare EMR data and Life Sciences; multi-dimensional data analysis in Proteomics and Flow Cytometry; FDA and HIPAA computer systems validations; LIMS design and compliance for the genomics and biotechnology industry; translational research in embryology and imaging technologies
