Come celebrate the fourth year of this major fundraiser for the Mammoth Lakes Foundation, supporting education and the arts, while enjoying all the beauty the Eastern Sierra has to offer. This summer we explore and celebrate the various regions of California by showcasing the wide variety of food and wine across our beautiful state. 

This two-day event features some of the top names in the culinary and wine industries. 

This outdoor event is held in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, CA, Gateway to Yosemite, and includes a variety of activities that will appeal to all participants.

11:30am - 1pm: Best of the Best Burger Battle 

Enjoy a no-holds-barred battle for burger supremacy!

Four world class chefs compete head-to-head to create the best burger with a California wine as an ingredient, begins Friday @ 11:30am. Winner awarded "Golden Ticket" to compete at World Food Championships in Las Vegas, November 2014!

Come taste wines from the many wine regions across California! Taste from 15 wineries pouring 25+ wines at this exciting outdoor event. 

Friday evening at the Village at Mammoth, beginning at 5pm.

Music provided by 80s tribute band "The Spazmatics"

Come in your best 80s costume and DANCE!!!

Friday Evening STAR Chef Dinners: Beginning at 5:30pm

"Grazing Al Fresco" with SCOTT LEYSATH

SCOTT LEYSATH, The Sporting Chef, transforms anything with fur, fins or feathers into a culinary delight. Fast-paced, entertaining and delicious! Friday evening join Scott for his demo and an Exotic Grazing Buffet and wine Al Fresco in the Blue Sky Bowl. Chef Dan Molnar accompanies Leysath in preparing a varied fish and game menu including: bison, quail, venison, rattlesnake, fresh fish and more! As you enjoy your repast in the shadow of the Sherwins, Scott entertains with a special demonstration.

Private Dining Experience with JOSIE Le BALCH 

Executive Chef/Owner Josie Le Balch of Josie Restaurant and Next Door by Josie prepares a multi-course dinner for you in a private Mammoth home. Le Balch has appeared on Food Network’s “Ready, Set, Cook” and “Ultimate Kitchens,” the syndicated “Recipe TV,” and most recently as a guest judge on Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” with Gordon Ramsay. Le Balch's JOSIE was recently named one the "Top 75 Restaurants in LA" by Los Angeles Magazine.  Joined by Chef Austen Murphy of Underground Lounge, Mammoth.

Chef Ray Garcia of Fig Restaurant in Santa Monica prepares dinner for you in a private Mammoth home. Garcia--just named "King of Porc" at the acclaimed Grand Cochon Competition in Aspen, is known for his commitment towards using the freshest and most flavorful local ingredients. Join Chef Garcia at a private dinner that will amaze and be "bright, bold, and fundamentally ingredient-driven." Garcia's restaurant was recently named one of the "Top 75 Restaurants in LA" by Los Angeles Magazine.

Do you know the difference between American and French oak? How about the difference between neutral and new oak? Experience tasting and blending premium Cabernet and Sangiovese from Sonoma County the way a winemaker does. We go ‘in the cellar’ with winemaker DAVID SCHEIDT, of Mastro Scheidt Family Cellars to discover the secrets behind creating the ultimate blended wine.

2:15pm - 3:00pm: Quelene Slattery of GUNDLACH BUNDSCHU presents a Wine Tasting Seminar- RESERVE CABERNET & MERLOT TASTING AND HISTORY OF THE "OLDEST FAMILY OWNED WINERY IN CALIFORNIA."

Details: Join Quelene Slattery of Gundlach Bundschu Winery for this special opportunity to taste the 2010 Vintage Reserve Cabernet, Sonoma Valley and 2010 Heritage Merlot, Sonoma Valley. These wines are “sold out “at the winery, but there is a small allocation still available in Southern California! (These wines will only be tasted at this seminar, not at the Grand Tasting or Wine Walk). Complete outline here.

10:30am - 11:15am: Chef Nyesha J. Arrington - "FOOD is ART" a Dining Experience

Arrington, a graduate of the Art Institute of Los Angeles, Top Chef Season 9 "chef-testant"/finalist and a resume that includes: Wilshire, L'Atelier, The Mansion and Mélisse, brings her creative culinary skills to Mammoth for an exciting and educational seminar. 

Join us Saturday morning for this fun and interactive seminar as Chef Arrington uses food as her medium in creating beautiful and tasty works of art

11:45pm - 12:30pm: One Hour Wine Expert: "TAKING WINE FROM BOTTLE TO GLASS" with Mark Abraham of Pedroncelli Winery 

Wine expert Abraham takes you through a tour of wine, sharing facts and secrets about bottles, glasses, how to open, and more- guaranteed you’ll learn something you can use for yourself and to amaze your friends

1:00pm - 1:45pm: Chris Collins of COLLINS VINTAGE WINES presents "Champagne Don't Drive Me Crazy"

Collins presents a seminar on Champagne featuring the Jacquart brand in Brut, Rose, and Blanc de Blanc.  He’ll be discussing these as well as the history of champagne, tips and tricks of enjoying champagne, and Chef Fred Pierrel will provide a small menu to accompany the tasting.

2:15pm - 3:00pm: Chef Richard Haake of Napa Valley - "UMAMI - The Fifth Taste and How It Pairs with Wine" 

Learn all about that elusive and savory fifth basic taste, Umami, and how it pairs with world class California wines. Chef Richard Haacke from Napa Valley, CA. presents this informative and engaging seminar that changes the way you look at Umami, the newest taste sensation!

3:30pm - 4:15pm: "P.S I LOVE YOU!" with Brett Keller of MINERAL WINES

Learn all about Petite Sirah with Winemaker Brett Keller of Mineral Wines, located in Angels Camp, CA. Brett will share Mineral Wines' own Petite Sirah vintage of 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Mammoth Lakes, CA is located 7,880 feet above sea level, please take into consideration how the high altitude may affect you at this event. 

This is an OUTDOOR event, we recommend you bring a light jacket for evening events, wear sunscreen or hat and drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated throughout the event. WATER stations will be available at all venues. 

PLEASE designate a driver or Utilize public transportation, including:

DESIGNATED DRIVER ticket holders may not participate in the wine tasting portion of the Grand Tasting or Burger Battle. Failure to adhere to rules will result in removal from event.

UNDER 21 The Mammoth Food and Wine Experience is NOT recommended for younger attendees; however we do offer tickets at reduced prices for children and teens, ages 12-20. 

Under 21 Burger Battle: $15.00

Under 21 Grand Tasting: $65.00

These “Under 21/Designated Driver” tickets can be accessed by entering code: MLF-DD in the promotional code box above the “Order Now” Button. This will display the hidden tickets in the ticket section above where you may select the total number and proceed to checkout. 

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The purpose of the Mammoth Lakes Foundation is to support development of higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra, including the establishment of a permanent campus in the Mammoth Lakes area that will provide facilities for academic studies, appreciation of the arts and student housing.
