Mambo and Mojitos !
HotHouse is organizing a rare cultural exchange between musicians living in Chicago and Cuban artists living in Guantanamo. The Chicago-Guantanamo Blues Exchange will bring 5 critically acclaimed artists from Chicago to Santiago, Guantanamo and Baracoa Cuba March 1-9, 2017. Additionally jourmalists and other cultural workers from the region will join the trip. Mambo and Mojitos is a fundraiser for this initiative. The benefit augments grant funds to support the travel and participation of the musicians.100% of the ticket price supports the project.
DJ Ayana Contreras and musicians Shanta Nurullah and Ben la Mar Gay are some of the featured performers at the event. Included in the ticket is one drink ticket and light snacks.
Tickets will only be sold online. Given the residential location of the event, tickets are limited.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is available without a meter on neighboring streets especially Winthrop and Kenmore just West of Sheridan
The Red Line CTA train stop at Bryn Mawr is 2 blocks West of the event
The Bus Lines 147 and 151 stop in front of the building
