Event description

Description

Come join Mountains Restoration Trust for a morning outside as we work to restore the vegetation in Malibu Creek State Park!

We will be planting native trees and grasses, as well as removing weeds and invasive plants from the area. We will be planting natives like Coast Live Oaks, Purple Needlegrass, California Goldenrod and Hummingbird Sage.

You can enter the park through the main Malibu Creek State Park entrance, and park in the lower day use area. There will be signs to guide you in, and MRT staff to meet you there! Bring hat, water, snack, and sturdy shoes. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Great Fun for Kids and Families! Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. Volunteers under the age of 18 must bring the Parental Consent Form.

Registration is free, but required. Registered volunteers will receive an email confirmation with more details.

Have more questions? Contact us at volunteer@mountainstrust.org or call MRT Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm at (818) 591-1701 ext. 203
