About this event

AIER's Bastiat Society of Malawi for our inaugural event with Frank Kamanga and John Nyangulu.

This seminar aims to give an educative and informative session on entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurship actions can be used as revolutionary tools for political change. The event targets all business professionals in Malawi who are interested in ideas of free markets, political economy, and the role of entrepreneurship in wealth creation and political change.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn from one of the top economists in the country on why we need entrepreneurship to bring political change in our society. The event will also act as a platform to launch the Bastiat Society of Malawi and give a brief session on the mission and vision of the American Institute for Economic Research. The event will also offer a networking opportunity for participants to share different experiences in their business journeys.

For centuries we have been celebrating the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution as great changes that facilitated our present standard of living. But what humanity doesn’t really recognize is that it was actually entrepreneurs who built this world and not enlightenment and the industrial revolution as perceived by many. These entrepreneurs are creating our future in more ways than mere production of goods and services.

Due to this reason, the Bastiat Society of Malawi, in partnership with Manson Institute for Leadership Education (MILE) felt it is of paramount importance to educate, inspire and empower the business community by engaging them on topics concerning entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurial action can be truly revolutionary-economically, politically, and socially.

Eventbrite registration required.
