Malas on a Mission to benefit Move for Hunger 5/16/17
Tue, May 16, 2017, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM EDT
Malas on a Mission is a partnership between Marilyn Schlossbach, Executive Chef, Environmentalist, Community Activist and Krista Lynn, Jewelry Designer and Spiritual Workshop Facilitator. Going on our 4th year, our Mission is giving the gift of good intention to people as well as local charities.
Mala Beads have been used for centuries as prayer beads in many cultures. Commonly strung with 108 beads, they serve as meditative talismans with each bead representing a repetition of a mantra or intention. Mala Beads are often worn as a protection against evil spirits, to purify ones mind, body and words and to simply remind you of your personal and spiritual intentions.
Join us for a night of creative beading, inspiration, ocean views, amazing food and drinks led by Krista Lynn of www.kristalynndesigns.com. You will learn about the charity of the night, the Mala Necklace, and tap into your creativity making yourself the gift of good intention. Truly is a wonderful night of Community and Giving Back. You will leave with your very own Mala Necklace to simply use for wear or prayer.
Event starts promptly at 6:30pm. We ask that you arrive between 6-6:15pm to gather your supplies.
ABOUT MOVE FOR HUNGER: WWW.MOVEFORHUNGER.ORG
As you may be aware, many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” when they move. Unfortunately, a lot of this “stuff” is food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away. That’s where we come in …
By teaming up with relocation companies across the country, Move For Hunger is creating one of the nation’s largest year-round service programs. Our movers offer to pick up the unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to their local food banks.
