Event description

Description

Malas on a Mission is a partnership between Marilyn Schlossbach, Executive Chef, Environmentalist, Community Activist and Krista Lynn, Jewelry Designer and Spiritual Workshop Facilitator. Going on our 6th year, our Mission is giving the gift of good intention to people as well as local charities.

Mala Beads have been used for centuries as prayer beads in many cultures. Commonly strung with 108 beads, they serve as meditative talismans with each bead representing a repetition of a mantra or intention. Mala Beads are often worn as a protection against evil spirits, to purify ones mind, body and words and to simply remind you of your personal and spiritual intentions.

Join us for a night of creative beading, inspiration, ocean views, amazing food and drinks led by Krista Lynn of www.kristalynndesigns.com. You will learn about the charity of the night, the Mala Necklace, and tap into your creativity making yourself the gift of good intention. Truly is a wonderful night of Community and Giving Back. You will leave with your very own Mala Necklace to simply use for wear or prayer.

Event starts promptly at 6:30pm. We ask that you arrive between 6-6:15pm to gather your supplies.

Event is open to 35 attendees.

Cost: $40/pp wood bead kit or $60/pp - semi precious stone kit - (The semi precious upgrade can be purchased the night of. Please bring $20 in cash).

PRE-REGISTRATION IS A MUST! WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING WALK-INS DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF PREPARATION THAT GOES INTO THE NIGHT. THANK YOU!

Light Fare and Drinks will be served.

A % of ticket proceeds will be donated to Food For Thought by the Sea http://foodforthoughtap.com/

Food for Thought’s mission is to support and nourish its community through the culinary arts.

Food for Thought provides local youth and adolescents with an opportunity to learn about the hospitality and the culinary industry. We achieve this with educational initiatives that support the environment and its local purveyors with affordable meals in our give-back food programs.
