Event description

Description

As we approach the end of the programme, Making Ways would like to invite you to join us for a drink to celebrate the project and launch a Visual Art Statement for Sheffield. There will also be an opportunity to view films created during the project.

The Visual Art Statement
Daniel Cutmore (Arts Council, England) will launch the Statement

Making Ways commissioned Julia Bell to help develop a Visual Art Vision Statement for the city, which sets out plans to develop Sheffield as an excellent place for visual art – for artists, local, national and international audiences, visitors and collectors. Julia has consulted with arts organisations and artists across Sheffield when drawing this together.

The Visual Art Statement forms the legacy of partnership working that has been rooted within the sector over the last three years and will be an ambitious vision for the visual arts which unites the sector, ignites passion and sparks the interest of stakeholders, funders and generates cross sectoral partnerships to help realise the visual arts’ ambition.
