Event description
Prom time is approaching! Donate or Sponsor today! Help us to make this special event magical for up to 300 LA County students!

About this Event

On April 4th, 2020 from 11:30am to 3:30pm, SPEAK Inc. and LA Mayor's GRYD (Gang Reduction Youth Development) program presents a very special Prom Pop-up Event helping provide the local community teens access to all necessities needed to make their prom experience that of a lifetime! As we know, prom is an expensive experience, but one that is very unique and memorable. When it is all said and done, prom can cost a hefty minimum starting price of $200 per child. All teens, and their families, deserve to be apart of this impactful event and to have the access to the supplies needed, no matter the family's income.

Vendors, sponsors, and non-profits will gather at El Centro Del Pueblo in central Los Angeles, near Echo Park, to set up a one-day store where local under-served community teens can shop to choose and rent much needed items for prom such as dresses/tuxes, shoes, accessories, hair styling/barber services, makeup artists and more! Live music and food will also be provided to keep the fun going all day!

We NEED Your Help!

Our goal is to raise $60,000, so that each student will receive a $200 allocation towards their prom. To help us create this magical experience, we're seeking your donation towards the cost of the needed prom attire & essentials. To donate, please:

- Review the “ticket items” needed (ex. Prom Dress; Shoes; Accessories, etc)

- Select the item(s) and quantities that you’d like to sponsor.

- Proceed to Check Out

Vendors will provide the attire, accessories and grooming services at discounted prices to optimize your donations.

If you wish to donate specific supplies or services directly, (such as dresses, tuxes, shoes, accessories or beauty/barber services) please contact one of the following emails for more information.
