About this event

The Maryland Statewide Prevention and Reduction of C. difficile (SPARC) Collaborative is pleased to host an in-person conference for hospitals participating in the SPARC Collaborative titled “Making Patient Rooms SPARC-le: Sharing Best Practices, Challenges, and Lessons Learned in Infection Prevention and Environmental Cleaning to Prevent CDI.” During this event, SPARC Collaborative leaders from the Maryland Department of Health, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Maryland will facilitate interactive sessions focused on environmental cleaning and infection prevention efforts. This event provides the opportunity for key stakeholders in infection prevention and environmental cleaning services to discuss challenges, best practices, and lessons learned for reducing hospital CDI rates.

The program will include:

■ Discussion of strategies for environmental cleaning and infection prevention related to CDI reduction

■ Breakout groups to share common challenges and best practices

■ Small group case studies
