Description

This workshop is designed for students who want to learn about the value of money, developing a healthy banking relationship, wise borrowing and spending, and protecting oneself from identity theft and fraud.

These workshops are open to students with various disabilities as well as existing CARD constituents. Students must register for each session that they wish to attend. There are a limited number of spots available.


9/21/17: Bank On It

Financial literacy workshop for students ages 15-20 who want to learn about money management and how to develop a healthy banking relationship.

10/5/17: Pay Yourself First

Financial literacy workshop for students ages 15-20 who want to learn about money management and how to set realistic financial goals by "paying yourself first."

10/19/17: Debit, Credit & Charge Cards

Financial literacy workshop for students ages 15-20 who want to learn about money management and understand the benefits and disadvantages of using debit, credit, and charge cards.

11/2/17: Borrowing Money

Financial literacy workshop for students ages 15-20 who want to learn about money management and the basics of borrowing money. Students will learn about the benefits and drawbacks to different types of loans.

11/16/17: Fraud Alert

Financial literacy workshop for students ages 15-20 who want to learn about money management and steps they can take to protect themselves from identity theft and fraud.
