Making it Here: National Cab & Door Factory Tour

Tours at 9 AM and 11 AM (SOLD OUT)

In an old art deco factory building off the R-train in Queens, National Elevator Cab & Door Corporation builds the elevator cabs that carry millions of New Yorkers every day. Learn about how the city’s uniquely robust demand for vertical transportation has allowed this family-owned and operated manufacturing business to grow in place during its more than eighty-year history.

This tour is part of Making it Here. Click here to learn more about the series.

Please note that as this is an active manufacturing space it is required that you wear closed-toed, hard-soled shoes for your safety. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Tickets to this event are non-refundable. Should you not be able to attend, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to Open House New York and is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
