Event description

Description

Punchdrunk's Enrichment programme takes the company's innovative immersive practice into communities and schools, creating performances with and for children, young people and participants. Integral to the creation of this work is the same commitment to exemplary design and performance that defines Punchdrunk’s large-scale productions for adult audiences. The programme includes recent family production Small Wonders as part of LIFT Festival 2018, school based literacy project The Lost Lending Library and award-winning cross platform project The Oracles.

This masterclass is for artists, practitioners and theatre makers who are interested in learning more about Punchdrunk’s approach to making work for young audiences. Working with Punchdrunk creatives, participants will explore the essence of how to build an immersive narrative with specific learning objectives or outcomes and empowering young people to awaken their own creativity. The workshop will be led by Director of Enrichment Peter Higgin and Associate Enrichment Director Tara Boland.
