Event description

Description

The third of King Manor's FREE weekly summer history workshops for ages 9-13!

Spinning wool was an important skill and a job done right here at King Manor. Try spinning your own yarn from sheep's wool using a drop spindle, a hand spun tool used by both children and adults. Then use your yarn to make a twisted bracelet or keychain to take home!

Making History Workshops at King Manor are a FREE weekly summer program for pre-teens and teens (ages 10+), every Wednesday! Every workshop features one project based on the daily lives of the diverse community of Queens in the 1800s, where kids can try their hands at real recipes, methods, and concepts from the 19th century. Join us for these sessions as well:

PLEASE NOTE: RSVP for each session required. Individuals (and siblings) only, no groups.
