Description

If you are a scientist, labor leader, environmental advocate or concerned citizen, you could be using your expertise and experience to shape public policy through the public comment process.

Here's what's in store:

  • Meet other scientists and labor leaders, sharing a light dinner and draft beer
  • Learn tips and tricks on crafting impactful public comments
  • Hear a jargon-free explanation of current regulations on worker safety, environmental protection and public health that are open for public comment
  • Discuss the background behind these regulations and strategies for writing a public comment on these items.
  • Build relationships with other scientists, labor leaders, and informed citizens.

The workshop is free and located in the beautiful Central Library in Downtown Seattle. Dinner and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided for workshop participants. Come join and learn how to make your government work for everyone! Bringing a laptop encouraged.
