Event description

Description

Teens and young adults face enormous stresses and challenges in their day-to-day-lives. From peer pressure, self-esteem, social-media, negative moods, academic and parental demands, relationships and dating to preparing for your future - All these and more whirl combine to make this period of life difficult to navigate and enjoy.

To support teens in coping more effectively with these ongoing challenges, we are offering Making Friends With Yourself (MFY), an empirically-supported, 8-sessions program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion in teens.

The goal of Making Friends With Yourself (MFY) is to help teens turn toward the emotional ups and downs of this life stage with greater ease, to offer them specific tools for recognizing and managing their struggles, and to help them learn how to meet these struggles with kindness and compassion.

This course is targeted at youth aged from 13 to 20 (We run several different classes keeping different age groups with peers of similar age).

We will provide some scientific underpinnings and an overview of key concepts. This parent session has proven very beneficial to families and participants and is highly recommended... and enjoyable.
