Event description
Exploring loneliness and social isolation in our community

About this Event

Did you know 1 in 8 young people and a significant number of Victorians feel lonely?

You are invited to join the Inner-Southeast Metropolitan Partnership and your community to explore and understand Loneliness to help those who are silently being affected. In our community there is a growing number of socially isolated people who are more likely to experience depression and anxiety with an increased risk of physical health issues such as heart disease.

At this event, you will hear the lived experience of people and service providers to understand the mental and physical toll on people. Come and hear about the research and innovative approaches to tackling social isolation and loneliness. Your attendance provides an opportunity to learn and share your perspective.
