Want to Lead in Your Community?
Making Change in NYC Government is a one-day, nonpartisan educational and networking workshop produced by the NYC Veterans Alliance. Sessions are tailored for an audience of veterans, family members, and civilian allies who want to advance their involvement in and understanding of NYC government. We'll cover community boards, political party leadership, local elections, policy & legislative advocacy, and more--all in good company where you'll be able to connect with experienced leaders and others eager to make a difference in their communities.
Sessions will include:
- NYC Government 101
- NYC Electoral Process
- NYC Legislative Process
Local experts and political leaders will be part of the program, offering an insightful introduction to government processes and meaningful opportunities to connect with fellow participants, political leaders, and special guests.
Tickets are limited on a first-come basis.
