Join us for a lunch-and-learn to:

  • Understand how to organize your team for maximum productivity

  • Integrate automation into your culture

  • Consider robotics in a new way, including new technologies and safety regulations

  • Learn how digital manufacturing technology is changing industrial robotics

  • Use technology to enhance standard work and quality checklists

During the lunch-n-learn, we will show a live demo of a collaborative robot and video demonstrations of a mobile fleet of industrial robots. This event also includes a tour of the new mechatronics facility at the Wiregrass Technical College Campus in Valdosta.

Event includes a light breakfast, networking, presentation, lunch, and Q&A.

Speaker Information:

Tom Sammon, GaMEP Project Manager

Tom is a project manager for GaMEP, based in Carrollton, and focuses on implementing Lean manufacturing practices and helping companies develop capital equipment applications.

He has 15 years of experience in the industrial automation and machine building fields. He worked as a project manager implementing equipment systems into Lean environments throughout North America. Previously Sammon’s work focused on discrete manufacturing, ranging from metalworking and welding with the Panasonic Robotics Group, to high-speed packaging for companies like Procter & Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive. He is an active member of the faculty group Robotics & Intelligent Machines at Georgia Tech (RIM@GT) and is on the Board of Advisors at West Georgia Technical College’s Industrial Electronics degree program.

We will also have guest speakers and demonstrations from Advanced Control Solutions.

*This quarterly lunch and learn educational series will deliver actionable tips and tools of the trade specifically designed to help Georgia Manufacturers grow their business.
