ABOUT THE EVENT

Reactor School presents:
Making a real difference in Society through the power of Entrepreneurship!

Tailored specially for Educators and Students interested in Entrepreneurship, this event explores how Entrepreneurs can make a real impact tackling social, cultural, or environmental issues in the 21st Century. Hear from youth Startup founders on their entrepreneurship journeys, and exchange ideas & best practices on how entrepreneurial youth can gain access to necessary resources and mentorship, and make a real difference in our future.

*The Reactor Educator Network (REN) is a not-for-profit arm of Reactor School, and is a professional development network for EntreEd Educators. Our meetups are usually ticketed to cover just the basic logistical costs, marketing collateral, as well as partner/speaker fees.

OUR SPEAKERS

Nicholas Ooi (Co-Founder, Bantu)

bantu, meaning ‘help' in Malay, is a social tech startup based in Singapore founded in 2017. As a business for good, bantu is driven to empower the social service sector across the region with easy-to-use technology. Their flagship product bantu Workspace, a community management and engagement platform, enables impact-driven organisations to easily recruit, organise, and build sustainable and modern communities – productively delivering more good.

Lim Wei Jie (Founder, Foreword Coffee)
Foreword Coffee is a specialty coffee company with the mission to empower persons with disabilities and special needs (differently-abled persons) by providing employment and skills training in the F&B industry. It is a social enterprise member of raiSE (Singapore Centre for Social Enterprises). They ethically source their coffee from Asia, directly importing them from producers, and roasting their coffee locally in Singapore, and promote conscious consumption by encouraging people to bring their own cups for their coffee.

Tan Wei Hao (Co-Founder, The Zone)
The Zone is a home for your thoughts, emotions & mental health. Their mission is to help the world think and care more about themselves through a guided journaling experience. As seats are limited, it'll be best if you could transfer your ticket to a friend or colleague. However, please drop us an email at elaine@reactor.school to inform us, as we will be customising your materials by name.

Why is there a ticketing fee?

As this meetup is a non-profit event; the token sum requested helps us to cover costs for venue and coffee for participants, as well as for printing and stationery.
