Instructables have kindly given us a bunch of Makey Makey kits to run a workshop, mess around with and come up with some cool projects. These kits let you connect electronics up to almost anything you can think of and do some amazing things!
For more information on the Makey Makey please check out the website here:
You don't need any technical knowledge or tools to come along. We have everything you need here including all the tools, electronic parts and expert advice. What we do need are out of the box ideas!
Tickets are free however a donation towards the workshops running costs would be apprecieted. As part of the condition for giving us the Makey Makey kits instructables would like to see some of the great things we can come up with and they would like build instructions and photo's.
Space and number of kits are limited so please reserve your ticket and be prepared to work as part of a team if there are not enough kits to go around. If you do have a laptop and a specific project idea you want to work on feel free to bring this along.
Children are welcome if supervised by a parent or guardian.
When & Where
So Make It
Southampton's Makerspace - we believe that everyone, from any background, should be able to learn new skills and make new friends. To enable this, we run a Makerspace where members can use our resources and tools to create amazing new things. Our members love to share knowledge and skills, so lack of experience is not a problem! We’re not for profit – ran by our members for our members.
