Welcome to Maker Talks at Fablab UP Cebu
RSVP here to join our first maker talk on Dec. 8 (Thu) on 6 pm!
If you’re a maker, crafter, designer, artist or just someone who appreciates the DIY ethic, join us at maker talks at Fablab UP Cebu to meet your local community!
Maker Talks is a monthly talk and mixer organised by Fablab UP Cebu, as a platform for discussion and collaboration with the Cebuano maker community. In a nutshell, it's a show and tell night for Filipino creatives!
For every maker talk, we invite 4 creatives to talk about the process of developing a personal passion project: the highs, lows and takeaways of learning through making. Each speaker is given 10-15 minutes to share with us their stories, together with their final design for us to see.
Interested in sharing your project at our next maker talk? We’d love to have you in the next series of talks! Email us at email@example.com or PM us at our Facebook page.

KHAIL CAMPOS SANTIA
Khail is a multi-awarded game developer and Cofounder of the indie studio Moocho Brain Interactive Designs. He will be talking about Creation at the Interfaces of Disciplines -- how they are combining the game mechanics of platformers and the art of origami to examine the contradictions of a society dependent on the export of labor.
Fidel is a resident Maker at the Fablab. He will be talking about Third World Fixx: the hacking of low-cost household items to address pressing issues like surveillance, boredom, and finding the TV remote.
