Event description

Description

Join us for the April edition of Maker Monday, and we invite you to push the boundaries with two special guests who will challenge, provoke and inspire.

Our first speaker Liviu Babitz is co-founder of Cyborg Nest, one of the world’s leading companies to sell intelligently designed senses.

There is more around us than we can perceive with our senses, so Liviu decided to start sensing some of it. In a world dominated by artificial intelligence created to make our phones, cars and homes smarter, Liviu and the team at Cyborg Nest decided to make people smarter instead.

Find out more about Liviu's new products push boundaries, his ideas and the values behind his work and the future of implants and technology beneath the skin.

In his previous role, Liviu was the COO of Videre est Credere, lived undercover and built undercover networks of people who use technology to document human rights violations in places where no one has access.

--------

Our second speaker Leon Trimble is a Birmingham based audiovisual performer and resident artist at The Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol. His work pushes and blurs the boundaries between audio synthesis and physical/emotional forces. These include gravitational waves, facial landmarks and body language. Leon will demonstrate some of his synthesis methods in action.

Leon will be joined by Aaron Jones who is a researcher in Instrumentation for Gravitational Wave detectors and develops technology for measuring fluctuations in space and time.

--------

As always, we will keep the inspiration flowing with free drinks and food.

Places are limited and will go fast and booking is essential.
