FAQs:

What days and hours will Maker Faire Denver be open to the public?

Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm

Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking around the Denver Mart buildings and on the east side of Washington Street. The Mart mangement charges $5 per car, and you are welcome to park across the street on Washington to walk a couple blocks and avoid the fee.

Is public transportation available?

There are multiple options for public transit to the Mart.

This site link gives details from multiple starting points.

Will you have bike parking?

Plenty of space for bikes.

Can I bring my dog?

It would not be kind to any animal to bring it along. There will be a lot of noise and crowds that will confuse your dog. We ask that you only bring Very Well Trained service animals.

Can I volunteer at the Mini Maker Faire?

Absolutely!  Please hit the Volunteer button here to be take to the sign-up.

What if it rains?

The show will go on! Bring rain gear to keep you dry when walking outdoors. Fortunately, we will have many indoor exhibits to keep the family dry.

What can I expect?

To have a fantastic time! You'll be surprised and intrigued with every corner that you turn.

Organizer

Colorado Maker Hub / Making Progress 501c3

Maker Faire Denver is organized by the Colorado Maker Hub, a 501c3 educational non-profit. www.denver.makerfaire.com

Colorado Maker Hub is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that fosters maker innovation. We do this by advancing and connecting Colorado makers – a vibrant community of tinkerers, tech enthusiasts, artists, educators, youth makers, inventors, hobbyists, science clubs, students and entrepreneurs – through events, education, pilot programs and online collaboration.

We are committed to bridging the digital and workforce divide by inspiring, educating and informing people of all ages about opportunities in education, careers, and entrepreneurship through the maker movement. Please consider donating a ticket to help us bring in attendees from underserved populations.

To keep informed on makers in Colorado, sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Facebook at CoMakerHub.

About Maker Faire:

Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

Maker Faire Logo

The original Maker Faire event was held in San Mateo, CA and in 2014 celebrated its ninth annual show with some 1100 makers and 130,000 people in attendance. World Maker Faire New York, the other flagship event, has grown in four years to 600+ makers and 80,000 attendees. Detroit, Kansas City, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Orlando, Silver Spring, Paris, Rome, Oslo, Trondheim, Tokyo, Newcastle (UK), and Shenzhen are the home of larger-scale, “featured” Maker Faires and over 120 community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the United States and the world.

Maker Faire is supported by Make: magazine and Maker Media.

About Make: Magazine:

Make: unites, inspires, informs, and entertains a growing community of resourceful people who undertake amazing projects in their backyards, basements, and garages. Make: celebrates your right to tweak, hack, and bend any technology to your will.

Besides the magazine and the faire, Make: and Maker Media is:
