Attendance is Free!  Why sign up for a ticket?

Signing up for a ticket gets you in the door more quickly so you don't have to wait in line to enjoy all the Maker Faire fun!  You will need to get a wristband in order to participate in workshops, hands-on making activities and other Maker Faire events.  Don't waste your time standing in line!  Just check in, get your wristband and start Making! 

 Registration will also help us to gauge how many people will be coming and will help Makers plan their exhibits and interactive displays so that they will have enough materials for everyone to take part and enjoy.

Where can I park? 
Parking is available at the Great Lakes Science Center's attached 500-vehicle parking garage. The entrance to the parking facility is west of the Great Lakes Science Center, facing Cleveland Browns First Energy Stadium.  Visit for more information and details regarding bus parking, additional parking lots nearby, and to plan your trip. 

Where is the handicapped parking located?
The Great Lakes Science Center parking facility includes designated handicapped parking.  

Where can I park my RV?
The Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot is the best place to park RVs or other large vehicles.

Is public transportation available? 
Yes.   Riding RTA saves you the hassle of finding and paying for parking and gets you to Maker Faire quickly and easily.  The Great Lakes Science Center is located downtown on the lake shore between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cleveland Browns First Energy Stadium and is accessible by public transportation.  Visit  to plan your trip.  

Will you have bike parking? 
Bike racks are located in front of the Great Lakes Science Center and in a number of locations along the North Coast Harbor Walkway adjacent to the Center.  Visitors may also take avantage of UH Bikes Cleveland Bike Share.  Bike share hub racks are available in a variety of locations throughout the city, including at the Cleveland Public Library's Eastman Garden at 325 Superior Ave.  If you're taking an RTA bus that drops you off near Public Square or the library, grab a UH Bike and ride the rest of the way.   

What if it rains? 

The show will go on rain or shine! There will be outdoor exhibits and activities so you may want to bring rain gear to keep you dry when walking outdoors. Fortunately, we will have many indoor exhibits to keep the family dry.

What can I expect?
To have a fantastic time! You'll be surprised and intrigued at every corner that you turn. Be prepared for hands-on exploration and Making, exciting exhibits, free workshops, and !

About Maker Faire Cleveland:

Maker Faire Cleveland is a hands-on celebration and showcase of Cleveland's inventive, DIY spirit.  This family-friendly event is hosted by the Cleveland Public Library and provides a full day of FREE exhibits, activities, workshops and just plain fun for all ages.  You can do everything from learning to solder to making your own paper....all for free.  Don't miss the demonstrations of armor and swordplay.  Check out robots, make puppets and put on a show,  visit NASA Glenn, shop the Maker Marketplace for handmade items crafted by local Makers.  You never know what you'll find around the next corner. 

This year's event represents the first official Maker Faire Cleveland but this is the 7th year that Maker fun has come to Cleveland.  Anyone who's visited Cleveland Mini Maker Faire from 2013-2018 knows how much fun hands-on Making can be.  Don't miss Maker Faire Cleveland 2019!
