 FAQs

I can’t find my promotional codes to get my passes or tickets. What do I do?

The codes were sent to the exhibit lead by email. They were sent to the same address as all other communications. Search your spam and inbox for an email with the subject: [Maker Faire 2015: Important - Maker Entry Pass and Ticket Codes]. If you still can’t find the email, email makers@makerfaire.com with the subject line: CODES: Your Project # and Your Project Name.

While redeeming my codes on eventbrite, how much time do I have?

Your session will time-out after 30min.

Is there a deadline for getting my passes or tickets?

There is no deadline for redeeming your codes. However, be sure to obtain and print your Maker Entry Passes before setup and bring them in advance of the event. They will be exchanged for wristbands.

I tried to redeem my code for a pass/ticket, but I am getting the following error message:

Check to make sure you entered the correct access code. The best thing to do is copy and paste the code directly from your email. Codes are usually a series of letters and numbers. The letters are case-sensitive.

Still having trouble?

Check with your exhibit lead to make sure they gave you the correct code.

I tried to redeem my code for a pass/ticket, but I am getting the following error message:

Make sure you only selected the quantity of tickets/passes allowed by the code.

Check your original email and/or with the exhibit lead to make sure they gave you the right quantity.

If you are sure you have the right code and it has not been used up, please wait 2 hours and try your code again. It is possible that you recently clicked the back button on your browser or tried to redeem your code in more than one browser at a time. This will cause our system to think the code has been used.

Give the system enough time to reset your code to a usable state, approx 2 hours.

One of my assistants changed. How do I change the Maker Entry Pass to the new name?

The name on the pass or ticket does not have to match the name of the person using it. If you’ve already sent the e-ticket to your previous helper, ask him/her to forward it to your new assistant. It can be printed many times, but only be used once. You do not need to notify us of the change. If you would like to update the names of your pass holders, click here for instructions.

How do I get my passes or tickets once I have redeemed my codes online?

You will receive an email confirmation with a link to print your passes or tickets from your computer.

I did not receive an email confirmation when I ordered my tickets, what should I do?

Check your spam or gray mail folder, in case it was misdirected. If you are unable to find it, email makers@makerfaire.com to have it resent. Please include the project #, name and email address used to order the tickets.

I am not able to print my tickets, what should I do?

Adobe has a site which reviews the common issues with printing .pdf files

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/873/cpsid_87346.html

In the article you will see the quickest resolution is to print as an image - Step 1

If this article doesn't help to resolve the issue, please let us know at makers@makerfaire.com.

Do I have to print my pass or can I bring my e-ticket on my phone or tablet?
Yes, you can bring your pass on your phone or tablet, but it will be easier and foolproof if you print it out. If you decide to keep them on your phone, please download the Eventbrite attendee app: http://www.eventbrite.com/eventbriteapp/.

I have my passes and tickets, now what?

Bring your passes for setup. When you arrive onsite, your Maker Entry Pass will be exchanged for a wristband, which will allow pre-show and setup access.

If you arrive during show hours, you can enter at any gate with your eventbrite pass, ticket, or wristband.

- Maker Entry Passes and Wristbands can be used for pre-show access.

- Complimentary tickets can only be used during show hours.
