Thu, March 30, 2017, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM BST
“Make Yourself A Little Bit Famous and Gain the Expert Advantage”
You want your customers and colleagues, and potential clients, to understand what you're all about so they get to know you, and then like and trust you. You want to engage your audiences, and get the competitive advantage - but how do you showcase your talents, without feeling like you’re showing off?
Former BBC business broadcaster Penny Haslam has developed The Expert Advantage that draws on two decades of experience interviewing business men and women on national TV and live radio, observing how people come across and what works well for their business image - be it an employee who wants to get noticed, or an entrepreneur who seeks attention for their product or service.
“Thank you Penny! I really took on board what you said, and have been reminded of the value of being expert as a way of marketing my business – I’m now going to put myself out there, with blogs, articles, social media and share my views!” Louise Oliver, Piercefield Oliver
Penny's one-day workshop is a chance to learn why getting exposure is paramount for your career and your business. And she shows you how to do it brilliantly, in a way that is time efficient and cost effective - because who has a personal publicist or press officer by their side at all times?!
She now brings her insights to you in this engaging and fun workshop that combines practice and theory, looking a range of ways to get exposure.
Penny shows you how to:
Position yourself as an expert and find ways to share your expertise
Plan your content, in an effective and efficient way
Woo journalists using social media
Showcase your expertise on panels or at meetings with colleagues or customers
Blog and vlog brilliantly
"Penny delivers content in an interesting, fun and engaging way. At both events Penny had the whole group excited about their next steps in getting more exposure for their careers and businesses. Her BBC experience is invaluable, as she brings her insight into how people present themselves in the best way and what they can do to raise their profile, in a way that doesn't cost them much in time or budget."
