MAKE YOUR MARK Session II -- Art Class for Middle School Students
Six Weeks, Fridays, 3:45 -- 5:30 starting November 4
Exercise your innovation, creativity, and critical thinking skills -- and put them to work to bring beauty and inspiration to the neighborhood. While taking advantage of cultural resources in the area, teens will create artwork inspired by nature, history, architecture, interesting characters, and their own stories. Examples of projects include large-scale paintings, printmaking, buttons, collage, and zines. Students will build confidence as they practice artistic techniques, develop their own sense of style, and learn to express their ideas with beauty and conviction. Complemented with museum visits, walking tours, Google Maps, and media research, participants in this program will use art to make their mark on the neighborhood.
