About this event
Sharewear Clothing Scheme is proud to be leading on and working with local community partners and sociologists from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to establish Nottingham as a Human Rights City. The strength of our city is reflected in a deeply committed third sector engaged in bringing opportunity to enable and empower people to access their human rights every day. This event will introduce you to the idea and practice of a human rights city by Dr Michele Grigolo (NTU) and to the right to clothing by Dr Louise Cooke, CEO and Founder of Sharewear Clothing Scheme. The event follows the Manchester-based launch of the Right to Clothing Campaign with the Project for Peace and Justice in September 2022.
There will be the opportunity to network and to formally join the Human Rights City steering group. A space will be available as well to promote your charity or group, and to share material and information with participants. Please register to book a place and if you would like to promote your organisation please contact separately both michele.grigolo@ntu.ac.uk and sharon.hutchings@ntu.ac.uk . We look forward to seeing you there!
