THE SWAYE
THE SWAYE offers the original music of Kevin Totoian – Produced in collaboration with a network of accomplished musicians – a personal network built over Kevin’s career as a full time musician, songwriter and producer. Kevin was immersed into the music scene early. His father was a promotion man for A & M, Columbia and Decca, and this meant playing bass as a child with Jack Bruce and Peter Frampton. It also meant countless concerts, back stage passes and after parties with the banks that brought the foundations of rock and jazz to the world.
By age fifteen, Kevin had his first band, “Take Off”. Lifelong buddy and collaborator, Elliot Lewis (now of Hall & Oats) was the bands guitarist. Next came a contract on Epic Records for the rock band, “Tall Stories” with world tours and television appearances. The band was made up of singer Steve Augeri, who also sang for Tyketto and Journey, guitarist Jock Morer, Kevin on bass, and drummer Tom Defaria. Kevin also takes song writing credits for this band. Kevins musical journey continued with “Tangled Vine”, the most awarded band of the CT Gold Coast, with hundreds of shows in the US and overseas.
