Event description

Description

  • If you need help with how to negotiate a salary and benefits at the start of a job?
  • If you want to understand how to justify asking for more money from a nonprofit to pay you a raise?
  • If you want to know whether you should bank with a Credit Union, Bank or Other Financial Institution?
  • If you want to understand how you can repay your Federal Student Loan through Public Service Work?
  • Or If you simply want to know how to keep a budget when it takes a great deal of time to code every single purchase?

This event on personal finance is for you. Eddie Burgos, Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and a CFP - Certified Financial Planner™ will lead us in a discussion on the answers to these questions on how to understand nonprofit salaries and how to minimize personal debt so you can take the next step up the financial ladder. This personal financial information discussion, where he will be dropping all the details will begin at 6:00 PM.

Following the discussion, we will have a collective sharing of resources session, led by our Vice President, Dylan McCain, where you will learn about current social technologies and local resources you can use to amplify your personal finance game to start making some REAL money moves.

We will end with a networking social toward the end of these discussions for us to get to know one another and further share more insight into our roles in the nonprofit sphere.
