Event description

Join Connect the Dots for a three-week art workshop at Fresh Gallery. We will be exploring mark making and portraiture as we experiment with a range of drawing and painting materials.

These workshops are fun, informal and allow space for your own personal creativity with the support of professional arts educator Andrea Gaskin. Connect the Dots programme, Make Moments, aims to engage older people and people living with dementia in creativity.

Please be sure to read the FAQs for important information that will help you to get the most out of your time with us!

How long is the workshop?

You will be signed up for three consecutive workshops.

The workshop itself runs for 1.5 hours with an afternoon tea break, and runs for three weeks. The dates are:

  • Thursday 21 June, 1-2.30pm
  • Thursday 28 June, 1-2.30pm
  • Thursday 5 July, 1-2.30pm

Is afternoon tea included?

Connect the Dots supplies plunger coffee, tea, herbal teas and delicious home baking for $3 koha per person. Please bring cash on the day, or if you are booking as a group we can invoice you following the workshop.

Do I need to pay for the art materials that I use, or bring any with me?

All art materials are provided by Connect the Dots charitable trust, and we will also be using paints that have been generously gifted by FAS Fine Art Supplies.

What if I need to cancel?

We appreciate that things can come up that mean you are no longer able to make it. We would appreciate as much notice as possible so that we can offer this opportunity to someone else. If you book more than 6 tickets you will be considered a group and will be expected to give 48 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
