Can children attend?

Yes, children aged 12+ are welcome to join the workshop. They must be accompanied by an adult, and each attendee (adult and child) must purchase a ticket. It’s a lovely activity to enjoy together!

Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Absolutely. This workshop is designed with beginners in mind, but enjoyable for all experience levels.

What will I create in the workshop?

You'll have full freedom to design with wire and cord! Typical creations include: words or name, small figures or animals, mixed creations - for example, one word + one figure, or two figures. You'll also have lots of colour choice from the cords that go over the wire.

Is it okay if I’m not sure what I want to make yet?

Yes! We’ll have time and space to think about it in the session and I will be on hand to help if you’re stuck for ideas.

Who leads the workshop?

The workshop is hosted by Jenni, a former art teacher and creative maker based in Cornwall. She now runs her own small business making personalised wire pieces and loves guiding others to discover the joy of slow, hands-on creativity.

Is there parking?

There is a free carpark just across the road from the workshop space called Church Street carpark. It is free for 3 hours, don't forget to get a ticket still.

Can anyone take part? Are there any restrictions?

The workshops are designed to be beginner friendly and suitable for most adults and children 12+. You do need enough hand strength to bend and shape the wire, so if you have arthritis or other hand mobility challenges, the workshop may be difficult. Please get in touch if you're unsure.

Yes! Hot and cold drinks available.

Is the workshop wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The venue has some accessibility features e.g. a ramp to enter. But the workshop space is not fully wheelchair accessible due to narrow pathways and facilities.
