An invitation to make, do and chat.
You are invited to make jewellery and small objects with porcelain in a Caravan in Cambridge. Try out different ideas that reflect or explore who you are right now, in your past and your future. We can think and talk about how or if jewellery can improve your sense of self and enrich your day giving you confidence in both the everyday and the challenging times in life. I am interested to understand more about why and how we use jewellery to reflect who we are to ourselves and others. If you like bring along items of jewellery to show and talk about. Perhaps focus on their significance to you and anything you associate with wearing them.
New to clay or an old hand?
Never worked with clay before - don't worry. I will show you a couple of simple designs you can copy and then once you've made one you can try your own ideas or carry on following. An old hand - great, you are free to make what ever small thing or jewellery piece you wish to. The pieces will be slowly dried and then high fired ready to be posted to you or collected after a few weeks.
Where and when
At the Caravan in the yard at Cambridge Art Works on Wednesday 4th and Sunday 9th October. We will be at the caravan during the first 3 weeks in October, Saturday 1st to Sunday 23rd. Come along and visit - email first to check when we are there. email@example.com
