Make-A-Wish Volunteer Training - Scranton, PA
Event Information
About this Event
Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia is hosting its next volunteer training at the Lackawanna Community College in Scranton, PA, on Saturday, October 19. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Will you join us?
To become a wish volunteer, individuals must be at least 21 years of age, pass a criminal background check and attend a one-time, in-person training session.
Make-A-Wish is currently looking for new volunteers in the following the counties*: Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne and Wyoming.
As members of "wish teams," volunteers are the faces of Make-A-Wish. Working together, the wish team is assigned to a child in their area, meets one-on-one with the family and aids in determining the most suitable wish for the child.
Wish kids and their families are your colleagues, your neighbors, your friends and relatives. Join the Make-A-Wish community and help us as we transform lives, one wish at a time — right in your backyard.
