Description

Making Picture Frames
A Wine and Wood Session in the Woodshop:
Friday, May 3rd, 6:00-9:30pm

In this beginners class you will learn to make your own sturdy and beautiful 8x10 hardwood frame. Fastening wood together can be purely functional or a work of fine art. Merge the two and learn to construct perfectly sized frames using mitered corners. We will also cover pocket-hole joinery to secure the joints, a useful process that can be used to create many other projects in wood.

Master the table saw, drills, and basic hand tools in this quick but comprehensive introduction to working in The Foundry’s Wood Shop.

Skills/Topics Covered:

  • Cutting using a table saw
  • Making mitered joints
  • Basic solves for joining wood
  • Gluing joints properly
  • Proper sanding techniques with a sanding block and palm sander

Class Cost: $75 (all materials included)
Class Size: Min 4/ Max 8

All wine sipped following our sessions are donated to our not-for-profit organization!
