Who Should Attend:

All are welcome! If you would like to make the world a better place, come join us! :-)

***Volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels. We will find a place to utilize your time & talents.

***Businesses, Schools, Universities & Faith Communities that would like to partner with or support nonprofits.

***Nonprofit organizations that would like to work together with other nonprofits and learn what resources are available to help them with their mission.

***Individuals with a Startup Idea that Solves a Social or Environmental problem.

9:00 to 9:15 Networking

9:15 to 12:30 Presentations & Pitches by Individuals, Nonprofits and other Organizations that have a great idea that makes the world a better place. Live brainstorming and audience assistance sessions follow each pitch. Each individual and organization with a good idea to present then can meet with people interested in volunteering to help with their idea or Community Project for the rest of the day, if they wish.

Come join us to find out about local small nonprofit organizations that need your help. Whether you want to help animals, children, seniors, veterans or the environment, your community needs you!

Please share your time and your talents to make the world a better place. At this Volunteer Orientation you will also find out about:

The Ways Your Business, School, University or Faith Organization Can Support Your Local Nonprofits.

The Community Project Accelerator events where individuals and nonprofits pitch good ideas and Community Projects that help their community and the audience brainstorms idea, connections and resources that can help.

The Volunteer Social Media Marketing Team that helps create awareness of the causes and needs of small nonprofits.

The Community Skill Bank of on call experts that help nonprofits and local community projects when they can.

The Donated Item Service where you can donate items or receive items if you are a nonprofit.

The Fundraising Project where individuals work together to raise funds to support worthy causes, ideas, startups and Community Projects.

The Many Opportunities to Help Out by Volunteering at Home or at Your Business and much, much more!

Many of the volunteer opportunities can be done from home or when you have a spare few minutes. All can be done to fit in with your busy schedule!

Tell us what you would ideally like to do, what skills you want to use and how you want to change the world and we will find the perfect nonprofit for you to help. Small nonprofits do not get the help they need and yet they fulfill their organization mission with volunteers only. These small nonprofits deserve help since your volunteer hour has more of an impact. You will also find out about local Community Projects that need your help to become a reality.

We especially have a lot of requests from Animal groups that need your help. One project is the Shared Multiple Animal Rescue Shelter where animal rescues create a shared working space and kennel so that they can save more animals.

The Senior to Senior project places senior animals with senior citizens who need a companion that they can foster long term with the financial support of the nonprofit.

The Feeding Animals in Rescue Project looks at opportunities for "group purchases" of animal supplies so that the price is better and also looks for donations of pallets of food.

The Companion Animal Assistance Program helps people with low income find free or low cost options for animal food, vet car and spay/neuter.

The Animal Resource Help Line is a project proposed that would help the community with animal related questions and steer them to the correct nonprofit that helps.

The volunteer Social Media Marketing Team that helps promote adoption of rescued animals, encourages spay/neuter programs and aids in fundraising projects to help support animal rescue efforts.

Come and meet like minded people. Connect with other volunteers. Share your time and your talents! Make the World a Better Place!
