About this event
As we lead in to National Crime Victims Rights Week 2022, we invite you to join us to learn, remember and honor.
The Make a Difference for Victims' Rights 5k "A Maryland Resource Event" will have something for everyone. Learn about victims' rights and about resources that are available throughout Maryland... and have fun doing it. (Participation in 5k is not mandatory to attend the resource fair.)
Participate in our brief ceremony, fair and 5k to learn, remember and honor. Participation is free. Every registrant for the Make a Difference 5K Run/Walk will receive free promotional items including a t-shirt. Help us increase the community’s awareness!
A 5k consists of 3.1 miles. We will breakdown the walk miles as follows:
- Mile 1: Learn different facts about victims' rights
- Mile 2: Remember those lost to violence
- Mile 3: Honor our heroes
Participants may earn signs for each of the areas by raising $200 for MCVRC via Facebook fundraiser or by asking family and friends to donate "In honor of... " at https://mcvrc.networkforgood.com/projects/153322-make-a-difference-for-victims-rights-5k-and-resource-fair
Contact ssannabuckles@mdcrimevictims.org for any questions regarding our work, our services or our event. Sponsorship and tabling opportunities also available.
