About this event

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to safely operate a planer, a drill press, a bandsaw, and sanders to make a custom wooden cutting board that you can use the same day!

Beginners are welcome – this class is open to women and gender expansive folks age 18+.

This workshop is hosted by SkillSet.

SkillSet is an outreach program of UNC Asheville’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Studio that provides access to life-changing skills through maker-based education. We teach everything from making custom electric guitars to robotics and furniture, and all the tools, technical skills, and resilience that goes into making these objects.
