Join Friends of the Major Taylor Trail, Out Our Front Door and the Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago as they lead volunteers at the Major Taylor Trail Park Earth Day Clean-Up!
Friends of the Parks' Earth Day Parks & Preserves Clean Up and Celebration began 29 years ago as a way to engage communities in their local parks and forest preserves. Today, FOTP partners with a multitude of other groups both local and city-wide including: Chicago Park District, Friends of the Forest Preserves, and Forest Preserve District of Cook County.
Your Earth, Your Legacy: 29th Annual Earth Day Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9AM to Noon, in parks throughout the Chicago area. From Noon to 2PM there will be a celebration at Humboldt Park (including lunch, games, and activities for all ages)!
The Friends of the Major Taylor Trail will meet volunteers on the section of trail just north of the Little Calumet River bridge, 12900 S Eggleston is one of the nearest street addresses.
